Jeff Laiosa.

I'm a senior full-stack/backend engineer who has spent the past several years working closely with research and ML teams, building the platforms and pipelines that bring data products and models into production. Most recently, at Dataminr, I built data ingestion pipelines (Python, AWS Lambda, Neo4j) and backend services (FastAPI, Postgres) behind a knowledge graph platform, partnering with researchers to deploy and monitor ML models on Kubernetes.

I also bring a full-stack background — React, Node.js, Express, TypeScript — from building production web applications over the years. Formerly at NCSU, Deutsche Bank, Interactive Intelligence, Opto Wealth, and Dataminr.

I recently built aipapers.chat — a conversational semantic search engine over 624k arXiv ML paper abstracts, built on AWS Bedrock (Titan Embeddings + Claude Haiku) and OpenSearch. How it was built →
